Hi! It’s Us!

Jeremy + Alyssa

We are the duo behind the cameras! We began pursuing photography & videography along side each other in 2020 and decided to seal the deal and become a solidified duo in 2021 after we tied the knot and said “I do!”! Best day ever we might add!

The Davenport Duo became a trio this past January as we welcomed our baby boy Silas to our family and man oh man is time flying by! He is the most joyful little dude and we feel so blessed that we get to be his parents. Outside of our wedding business, we run a social media creation and management agency for local businesses and churches!

We have been married for almost 3 years now and just gotta say that marriage is truly the best thing ever! This is why we feel so passionate about capturing peoples big days! Having front row seats to the best “I do” of peoples lives, YES PLEASE!

Our approach to photography + videography is very fun-loving and laid-back! We want to highlight our couples in the most genuine way possible and the best way to do that is to not let the day be too forced! Of course we will still get all of the main shots throughout the day, but what we love, more than anything else, is when couples get comfortable and enjoy their day while we capture all of the real, raw, funny, emotional moments as they unfold. You can expect lots of laughs, jokes, and high-energy from us as we get the privilege of being your personal hype men for the day!

We LOVE what we do & we LOVE that we get to do it together!

Our Love Story

07.24.2019

The day I meet Alyssa (unfortunately not pictured). My friend and I had just come back from a missions trip across seas in Zambia and upon returning, he was planning on giving the sermon for his church that Sunday. He invited me to which I happily joined and following the day, was invited to his college group that took place that Wednesday (the 24th). Upon arrival, I quickly started meeting people and playing corn hole with some girls. While playing with these girls, another girl chillin on a bean bag watched and was mesmerized by me (just kidding, her initial thought was I was a tool bag). Yet, somehow, I managed a few conversations with her and was swooned by her presence. I quickly started to investigate. Turns out, she was best friends with a close friend of mine.

Quickly becoming obsessed with her and being around her, I needed a reason to have her hang out without making things seem weird. So, I took advantage of my work and asked her to tag along for a product shoot I needed to do. I offered free lunch so of course, she said yes. To keep things short, we ended up spending the next 14 hours together. From photos, to food, to swimming, to dinner, to playing games with friends, to late night stand up comedy on Netflix, we made quite the day out of. Being intentional with our time, I came to realize she might really be the one. The best part, after she left, so did my roommates.

After meeting only 6 weeks prior at a young adults group (technically we had an encounter months prior but it doesn’t count because we didn’t remember each other), I knew Lyss was someone special. I felt my true self around her, our humor matched perfectly, and as the kiddos like to say these days, we radiated good vibes. I planned a trip for us to hike in Sedona early on the morning of the 4th and as we sat on Bell Rock, I asked her if I could have the honor of being her boyfriend. Fortunately, she said yes:)

Days before the world shut down, a group of 16 of us decided to make an unforgettable trip to Puerto Penasco. Only, it would be truly unforgettable for us two. As elusive as I was, I sent Lyss on a wild scavenger hunt that led her straight into my hands where I asked for her heart forever. Having only met 6 months earlier, it came as no surprise that we wanted to marry each other. But to make moves this quick? Blindsided. Hands down one of the best memories we ever have together.

We tied the knot. There are two days in our lives that mean the most together: the day our baby boy came into the world, and our wedding. After 10 months of impatiently waiting, we finally committed our love to each other forever and sealed the deal. After shooting so many weddings and seeing other couples tie the knot forever, it was the coolest experience ever to be the one putting on the suit and dress. It truly is a shame that you can’t have another wedding together, otherwise, we’d have about 5.

Our dream of owning a golden retriever came true. In fact, we hadn’t planned on getting one for almost a year but by the grace of God, we got put on top of a waiting list and even got first dibs of a new litter. The name they gave him sucked, so we took the liberty of giving him the name we dreamed of giving to our first fur baby, Cooper. Welcome to the fam little guy:)

Alyssa not only was working 30 hours a week at a coffee shop, but was pursuing her dream job of becoming an Esthetician by attending Avalon Institute. On the 15th of April, 2022, she finished her final hours of schooling and clocked out one last time. Truly an emotional experience, and I could not be more proud her for all she endured. Not only had she put her two weeks in for work, but little did we know that at the time, our family was growing…

We announced to the world that the Davenport Duo would soon become a trio. Overwhelmed with emotions, and in full honesty, good and bad, we buckled up for the journey of our life. Let me tell ya, you think you have 10 months until things change, but pregnancy is the journey that doesn’t get talked about a lot…

We welcomed Silas into the world. If you didn’t catch it before, this is our greatest memory of our lives. In a matter of seconds, your life completely changes forever as your first child enters the world. Enough tears and love happened that day to cover the year. Comin in hot at 9lbs 4oz and 20 1/4” tall, Silas joined the family, breathing his first in this world.
